John Bratrud joined Columbia Pacific in 2019. He serves as the Portfolio Manager for the Opportunity Fund. In his current position, he oversees investments in both public and private companies. Prior to joining Columbia Pacific he served as the Managing Partner for Hyak Capital. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and currently resides in Seattle.
Pete Aparico is President and Head of Real Estate at Columbia Pacific Advisors. He joined in 2017 and is responsible for real estate acquisition and development opportunities within the real estate investment strategy. Prior to joining Columbia Pacific Advisors, Pete was a multi-family development, commercial development, and acquisitions lead at Vulcan, responsible for deal sourcing, pipeline development, and life cycle investment performance. Formerly, Pete was an Investment Director with Schnitzer West and an Officer in the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps. Pete earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Science in Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Trent Stedman joined Columbia Pacific in 2013 and manages our hedged strategy and our United Kingdom specialty finance strategy. Prior to joining Columbia Pacific, he managed the New Vernon Aegir Fund, a long/short equity hedge fund, from inception in 2004 to 2013. Prior to forming the Aegir Fund, Trent was a Principal at Centre Partners, a New York-based private equity fund he joined in 1995. At Centre Partners, Trent participated in leveraged buyout and growth capital investments in sectors including consumer products, food, retail, media, and senior housing. Trent received a Bachelor of Sciences in Economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
